The Department of Surgery is devoted to high quality treatment in general and trauma surgery. Surgical care is provided for common conditions such as hernias, gallstones, goiters and diverticulitis and complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic and hepatobiliary disorders including the use of laparoscopic (minimal invasive) procedures.

 

Trauma surgery ranges from non-operative treatment to arthroscopic measures to open procedures for internal fixation of fractures, joint replacement and therapy of injuries to cartilage, ligaments and tendons. All services are provided in close cooperation with the other departments to ensure seamless coordination and integration of perioperative diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
