The Health Promotion Center at the Park-Klinik Weissensee offers a broad spectrum of measures designed to work preventively and therapeutically. Our seminars, courses, and lectures encompass the areas of exercise, nutrition and relaxation. They also deal with specific diseases and how to overcome them.
In our nutrition Center, a special focus is given to the treatment of morbid obesity (adipositas). Professional, ambulatory, multi-disciplinary and long-term approaches are offered, not only for the very obese, but also for those adults who are moderately overweight. Our tried and tested "Fit Kids - Program" for overweight 9-12 year olds, includes regular exercise, behavioural group therapy, and practical training in our kitchen.
A special offer of our Center is the Medical Check-up program as a valuable and thorough tool in disease prevention. Within the course of one day, a team of physicians, representing at least six different specialities, will be able to give you a broad and competent summary of your current health status based on various examinations. The check-up clients are personally cared for by an internist, who will thoroughly advise them and show practical ways of improving health and performance.
The Health Promotion Center co-ordinates the International Medical Services, offering medical care to embassy personnel, foreign patients, as well as to their families.
